1. Prepare the Test Ride Environment

  • Ensure you have a safe, well-maintained area to host test rides. This could be a park, parking lot, or low-traffic roads where the rider can comfortably try out the bike.
  • Make sure the e-bikes are fully charged and in good working condition, with all safety features (lights, brakes, etc.) tested prior to the ride.
  • Check the local laws or regulations regarding the test rides in public spaces.

2. Set Up the Test Ride Area

  • Set up clear signs or designated spaces to guide customers where they can start the test ride.
  • Provide an easily accessible registration point where riders can sign the Test Ride Waiver.
  • Have all necessary safety gear on hand, including helmets and reflective vests if needed.

3. Register the Rider

  • Collect the customer’s ID for verification.
  • Ensure the rider meets the age and health requirements.
  • Have the rider read and sign the Test Ride Liability Waiver.
  • Collect any other required information, such as emergency contact details.

4. Pre-Ride Briefing

  • Educate the customer about the bike they will be riding, including its features, motor power, battery range, and any other key selling points.
  • Explain the throttle, pedal-assist modes, and how to operate gears.
  • Ensure the rider understands how to operate safety features like the horn, lights, and brakes.

5. Safety Check and Gear

  • Provide a helmet (if the rider does not have their own) and ensure it fits properly.
  • Double-check that the customer is comfortable with the bike before starting.
  • Remind the rider of the importance of following all road rules and riding safely.
